Milan Design Week 2016

Sirca introduces Cromateria exposition, an artistic installation series by designer Luca Trazzi to continue the dialogue between Art, Architecture and Makers

press release

Sirca is back to Milano Design Week to continue its dialogue with the world of art and design, presenting its most ambitious project: Cromateria.

From April 12th till 17th at Museo Diocesano di Milano, the visitors will be introduced to a crative and sensorial path, in which coatings and colors are used in combination with materials and shapes; every installation of Cromateria are designed by architect Luca Trazzi, realized by selected partners of Sirca and, obviously, painted with Sirca’s coatings.
Sirca’s vice president Maurizio Durante explains:

Cromateria will finally connect producers and designers. When we touch a furniture product, we often deal with coating, and there lies the importance of our contribution. We deeply are part of furniture’s world, as well as architecture’s, and as part of this framework we want satisfy the neeeds of both universes. That’s why we invited our partner customers to join Cromateria: nobody of us is directly involved in Salone del Mobile, but we are all involved in a process of designing and projecting for materials and surfaces.

The event will be enriched by conferences and various initiatives, all focused on creating a bridge between makers and designers: for example two credit-bonus course for architects will be set on Wednesday, April 13th. Every evening, starting at 8:30 pm, all the visitors will enjoy a videomapping show made by The Fake Factory videoartists.
